Rev. Deborah Cameron-Fawkes
Chief Governing Official
Rev. Deb Cameron-Fawkes brings experience intertwining the private sector, non-profit and ecclesiastical worlds to her role with Clergy Support Memorial, learning what makes organizations strong. (Hint: healthy relationships.)
She holds Master of Theology and Master of Arts in Theological Studies degrees from the Vancouver School of Theology, with an ongoing interest in public and political theology. Throughout her former career in front-line retail, her spirituality was always grounded in compassion and justice, with more than two decades volunteering in advocacy, organizing, and non-profit governance. She has also enjoyed leading worship as a supply minister for many years.
Deb is a member of the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care/Association Canadienne de soins spirituels and current President of its BC Executive. As a clinically-trained spiritual care practitioner since 2017, she has worked in hospitals, care homes, and transition houses.
Deb’s spiritual practices include writing, travel, listening deeply to music, and connections with family, all nurtured by her beloved West Coast surroundings of rainforest and mountains.
