Leadership Team

Rev. Deborah Cameron-Fawkes

Chief Governing Official

Deborah possesses many years of experience in the private sector, non-profit and ecclesiastical worlds. In 2002 she felt a call to chaplaincy: the privilege of walking alongside folks on their particular spiritual path, especially those at crossroads in their life.

She has two master’s degrees – Master of Arts in Theological Studies and Master of Theology, both from the Vancouver School of Theology and additional courses in Ethics and Spiritual Care. She joined the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care for her clinical training and is currently President of its BC Executive. She joined Clergy Support Memorial in 2018 and made the switch to full time pastoral and spiritual health care.

Trevor Burgess

Executive Administrator

Trevor supports the applications of new members and the needs of our current team in their ministry work.

Trevor and his wife Deborah have recently relocated to the Sudbury area and are looking forward to northern life. With over 30 years experience and knowledge in management and administration, Trevor can tackle almost any challenge you care to send his way. He is a problem solver, a great listener, and is able to quickly understand the details of an issue and respond with a smile. Before CSMC,  he was working in a community-facing position and connecting local people with services and benefits.

A fitness enthusiast for all his life, Trevor has been a volleyball player, a Taekwondo fighter and a Tough Mudder. These days, its enough to do some paddleboarding and trail hiking. He has been a Habs fan since the age of six.

Rev. Ed Montano

Theologian/counsellor

Ed joined CSMC in 2019. He comes to us with many years of experience in both the corporate and ecclesiastical worlds. He holds a Master of Divinity from Saint Paul University in Ottawa and also has many years of pastoral ministry, currently serving as a hospital chaplain. Ed played an important role in extending CSMC’s training programs through the Canadian Ministers Institute and has also contributes to the CSMC website from time to time.

Ed is married to his best friend, Tracy, and has two adult daughters. Ed and Tracy are very musical, with Ed playing drums and guitar, and also enjoying singing. When Ed’s not making music, playing cards or trivia, he can be found on a golf course, though not quite on the PGA tour.
